Flange installation

Adapter CUA 120-A for flange installation
• For pipe diameters of at least DN 100
Note:
Weld-on flange , loose flange , se-
aling and fastening screws
not included in the shipment and
must be provided by the customer.
• Insert the connection cable
connector through the sleeve
hexagonal gland without twisting.
• Insert the sensor body into the sleeve
such that the O-ring is located below the
G 1" thread in the sleeve
• Insert the CUS 5 into the adapter such that
the short side of the sensor is in line with
the marking hole . Tighten the hexagonal
gland hand-tight.
The marking hole clearly identifies the
orientation of the sensor.
Note:
Install at locations with constant
medium flow and not at locations
where air pockets or air bubbles may
form, or where contaminates might
become deposited.
If possible, the flow assemblies
should be mounted onto vertical
pipes whose medium flows upwards.
In horizontal pipes, the sensor must
be mounted in a lateral position (see
fig. 3.10). Align the sensor surface
against the medium flow for a better
self-cleaning effect.

Direct installation

If, in special cases, the sensor CUS 5 is
installed without an assembly, a strain relief
for the measurement cable must be used.
Caution:
Never hang the sensor directly from
the measurement cable!
