Entering the telephone number

Enter the telephone number of the
person you wish to text using the
numeric keys.
Press the MENU key.
"Telephone directory" appears on the
display.
To save the SMS select the "Save"
option.
To send the SMS select the "Send"
option.
Press the MENU key.
The selected function will then be
executed.

Using saved telephone numbers

Press the MENU key.
"Telephone directory" appears on the
display.
Select the memory in which you have
stored the required telephone number.
Press the MENU key.
"Number" appears on the display.
To save the SMS select the "Save"
option.
To send the SMS select the "Send"
option.
Press the MENU key.
The selected function will then be
executed.

Reading incoming text messages

If you receive a text message the "New
SMS" LED will light up on the base station.
"New SMS" will then appear on the
display. The " " symbol will also be
displayed.
Press the MENU key.
Select the "SMS" menu.
Press the MENU key.
The last SMS received will be displayed.
You will see the sender's telephone
number and the date and time of receipt.
In order to display another text
message, press the NAVIGATION key
until the " " symbol reaches the
required option.
Press the MENU key.
To read the text message use the
NAVIGATION button to select the
"Read" option.
When you have read a text
message it is moved to the incoming
SMS list.
If you want to read this text
message again follow the
instructions in the section headed
Reading text messages in the
incoming SMS list from page 38
onwards.
