Using the Answering Machine
Retrieving messages from the
answering machine
Call your connection from a touch tone
capable telephone extension.
The answering machine will cut in after the
set number of rings.
In economy mode the answering
machine will respond after two rings
if there are any new messages. If
there are no new messages the
answering machine will only
respond after six rings. You can
therefore tell if new messages have
been recorded without incurring the
charges for making a connection.

Press the button during the recorded
answer message.
If the answering machine is switched off it
will cut in after ten rings. You will hear a
recorded announcement asking you to
enter your remote enquiry pin.
Key in the remote enquiry PIN using the
numeric keys.
If you enter the wrong remote
enquiry PIN twice the connection is
automatically cut off.
You can now listen to the recorded
messages and change settings on the
answering machine. You will hear a
recorded announcement listing the
possible functions.

Playing back messages

Press number 1 on the keypad to play
back all the messages.
Press number 3 on the keypad to play
back all the new messages.
Press number 4 on the keypad during
playback to repeat the current
message.
Press number 4 on the keypad during
the date and time announcement in
order to listen to the previous message.
Press number 5 on the keypad to delete
the current message.

Changing settings

Press number 7 on the keypad to
enable or disable the message
recording function.
Press number 8 on the keypad to play
back the current answer message.
Press number 9 on the keypad to
record a new answer message.
Press 0 on the keypad to enable or
disable the answering machine.
Press 0 on the keypad to repeat the
announcement of all the functions.
You will hear a message announcing
confirmation.
