First Steps

Unpacking

Unpack all parts of the telephone.
Check that all the parts have been
supplied.
WARNING!
Risk of suffocation from plastic
packaging!
Do not let children play with
the plastic packaging.
Keep the packaging material out of the
reach of children.
Setting up and connecting the
base station
The following criteria should be applied
when selecting the location for the base
station:
• The base station should be near
enough to the socket to be connected
without an extension cable.
• The base station must be placed on a
level and stable surface.
Caution!
Some surfaces or cleaning agents may
damage the rubber feet on the base
station. In these cases the product may
be soiled or suffer surface damage.
Place the base station on a non-slip
surface.
Place the base station in the required
position.
Connect the telephone cable to the
right-hand socket on the base station.
Connect the mains cable to the left-
hand socket on the base station.
Plug the telephone cable in at the
telephone socket.
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock!
Please refer to the safety
information at the beginning
of these operating
instructions.
Plug in to the mains socket.
An audible signal and the figure "0" in the
display indicate that the base station has
been correctly connected.
