Registering and deregistering
handsets
After the rechargeable batteries have
been inserted the handsets register
automatically at the base station.

Registering handsets

You can register up to four handsets at
the base station.
If you want to register another
handset you have to deregister one
of the other four handsets first.
Follow the instructions in the section
Deregistering handsets from page
20 onwards.
The procedure for registering handsets is
as follows:
Press the MENU key.
Press the following sequence of keys

" # # #".
"Reg./dereg. handset" appears on the
display.
Press the MENU key.
To register a handset choose the
"Register handset" option.
Press the MENU key.
Enter the PIN number.
The factory setting for the PIN is
"0000". You can change the PIN as
instructed in the section on
changing the PIN number from page
45 onwards.
Press the MENU key.
"Searching for base" appears in the
display.
Press and hold down the PAGING
button on the base station.
After about ten seconds you will hear two
beeps.
Release the Paging button.
The handset is now registered.
If the registration process has not been
successful the display will read "No base".
If this is the case, check whether the
base station is correctly installed and
that no more than three handsets are
registered.
Repeat the registration process.
If the process was successful the display
will read "Handset" and the number of the
handset.
