15. Cloth deck patches

Note:
• Do not get the adhesive cloth patch wet otherwise it may lose adhesion.
• Do not stretch the cloth patch when apply or removing. This will distort the shape and may affect the seal.
The cloth deck patches are used to seal the hull. This prevents water from entering and potentially damaging the
electronic components inside.
Replace them when they no longer create an effective seal.

16. Insert batteries

a) Transmitter

• Insert 4x AA batteries matching polarities as shown inside the compartment.
• Replace batteries when the low battery when status indicator is: red/green flashing.

b) Sailboat

Important:
• The sailboat does not have a low battery indicator.
• Runtime is approx. 1 hr with new batteries inserted. It is recommended to replace the batteries after 45
minutes of use.
• See "15. Cloth deck patches" on page 41.
1. Carefully peel back the cloth deck patch. You do not need to remove it completely.
2. Insert 4x AA batteries matching polarities as shown on the battery pack.
3. Secure the battery pack using the hook and loop strap.
4. Carefully seal the compartment using the cloth patch.
