• Solution via Alignment Optimization:
- move the socket further posterior in
relation to the foot
- if this does not suffice, it may be
necessary to use a calf shank with
a higher category (stiffness)
• Initial Situation:
User Finds Toe Too Stiff
- the user has difficulties rolling over
the toe, or
- the user feels as if he is walking up
a slope although he is walking on
even terrain
• Solution via Alignment
Optimization:
- move the socket further anterior in
relation to the foot
- increase dorsiflexion of the foot
- if this does not suffice, it may be
necessary to use a foot keel with a
lower category (stiffness)

Description

UltraStride LP Plus BQ.MX5

The UltraStride LP Plus Foot represents
the advancement of the tried-and-trusted
MakStride foot components. It features
an additional dynamic heel spring. This
allows the user to profit from both a plea-
santly soft heel strike, and an improved
roll-over of the foot.
The UltraStride LP Plus also features a
calf shank with a vertical longitudinal
split in A-P, which optimizes the foot's
torsionability and its adapability to all
kinds of surfaces.
The heel spring gets defined by the selec-
tion of the matching category. A set of
elastomer heel spring wedges is included
with the foot, which make it possible to
adjust the flexibility of the foot to the
individual user.
This makes it possible to individually
adjust the relation of forefoot to heel.
