Storing for an extended period of disuse

CAUTION!
Risk of crushing and material da-
mage!
Careless handling of the ride-on mo-
wer during loading, unloading, and
transport can cause people to be
crushed, and the ride-on mower can
be damaged.
Proceed with extreme caution during loa-
ding, unloading, and transport.
For the transport of the ride-on mower, comply
with the following points:
Use a vehicle suitably equipped for trans-
porting, which is of appropriate power and
size, or use a trailer authorised for the pur-
pose.
Transport the ride-on mower on the vehicle
as follows:
In a horizontal position.
The fuel tank must be empty.
The fuel cock must be closed.
Lower the mower mechanism to its lo-
west position.
Remove the ignition key before trans-
porting.
Load the ride-on mower on level ground, at
a safe distance from road traffic, and after re-
moving potentially dangerous objects.

If the ride-on mower is raised using
belts, chains, or hooks, it may fall, and
people may be crushed and the ride-
on mower may be damaged.
Do not use belts, chains, or hooks to lift
the ride-on mower.
For loading, use approved loading ramps with
the following characteristics:
Four times as long as the vehicle's load
area.
Suitable width
Non-slip surface
Strength which can take the weight of the
machine
Securely attached
ADVICE
You may also lash the ride-on mower
to a pallet, and load it using a forklift.
Loading must be carried out by a qua-
lified forklift driver.
Load the machine with its engine switched
off, without a driver, and only by pushing by
several people.
Attach the ride-on mower to the vehicle or
trailer as follows:
Transport straps of suitable tension and
strength.
1 brake chock per wheel.
Apply the parking brake.
WARNING!
Danger to life and material damage!
If the ride-on mower is secured solely
by means of the parking brake, it may
fall off the vehicle during transport.
This may kill people and cause severe
material damage.
Attach the ride-on mower to the vehicle
as described in this section.
For transport, note the following:
Sitting on the ride-on mower is forbidden.
Inform yourself of the applicable regulati-
ons and special rules for transport in pu-
blic traffic.
STORING FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD
OF DISUSE
ADVICE
The fuel tank should be empty for the
winter break. The reason: over the win-
ter, fuel loses its ability to be ignited - if
it is left in the tank, there may be pro-
blems when starting in the spring. If there
is fuel left over after the final mowing of
the year, then it is recommended to leave
the ride-on mower idling until the engine
stops of its own accord.
CAUTION!
Risk of explosion from fuel vapours!
Exploding fuel vapours may injure
people and cause material damage.
Keep the ride-on mower only in a well
ventilated area.
Before a period of disuse longer than one month,
e.g. overwintering or long-term storage, carry out
the following tasks on the ride-on mower:
