11.5 Change of the pump element

Proceed as follows to change the pump element:

Loosen the interlock screw (fig. 15, pos. 5) at the front of the pump element with an Allen key AF 8.

Screw the supplied extraction tool (fig. 15, pos. 2) into the thread on the front side (fig. 15, pos. 4) of the pump element.

Pull the pump element (fig. 15, pos. 1) with the extraction tool out of the pump body.

Screw the extraction tool from the old pump element into the new pump element.

The feather key (fig. 15, pos. 3) must be in the corresponding groove of the pump element.

Make sure that no dirt enters the device at the assembly of the new pump element.

Insert the pump into the mounting hole so that the feather key snaps in the groove of the pump housing.

Lightly grease the O-ring which is located on the interlock screw before assembly.

The pump element must be secured again with the enclosed new interlock screw.

When copper paste is used, the pump element must be exchanged after approx. 1,000 hours of operation
