10. Functional description

10.1 General

The device is mainly used to lubricate hydraulic breakers or other construction machinery attachments. A direct assembly at the carrier
device is possible due to the compact construction.
Since the device is driven by a hydro motor (fig. 9, pos. 9), a continuous lubricant delivery is ensured. The delivery rate can be adjusted
by an adjusting throttle (fig. 9, pos. 8).
A zerk (fig. 9, pos. 5) is integrated for a manual lubrication in case of a failure of the hydraulic system. A pressure limiting valve (PLV;
fig. 9, pos. 3), which opens at 280 bar, is installed in the device to protect the lubricant system. The outlet opening (fig. 9, pos. 1) of
the PLV is opposite the cartridge holder.
Transparent plastic cartridges (fig. 9, pos. 7) are used as storage reservoirs. Different cartridge types can be used because of an
adapter system. The grease level is controlled visually via the position of the visible follow-up piston. An inspection window (fig. 9,
pos. 6) is integrated in the pump housing so that you can control the grease level when the cartridges are almost empty. The function
is controlled via the visible eccentric shaft (fig. 9, pos. 2) which rotates during the operation.
In case of wear of the pump element (fig. 9, pos. 4), the grease can escape at the lateral relief bore (fig. 9, pos. 10).
