11. Adjusting the shock absorbers

The knurled wheel (A) can be used to adjust the spring preload.
Always ensure that the shock absorbers on each axle are level (i.e. on the left
and right wheel of the front or rear axle), otherwise the vehicle may not respond
correctly.
In crawler mode (slow movement on a difficult terrain) the shock absorbers should
be adjusted a little "softer" so that the two rigid axles can optimally interlace with
each other and thus each wheel has ground contact.
In normal mode (fast movement on a plain terrain or flat surface) the shock ab-
sorbers should be adjusted a little harder in order to improve the travel behaviour.

12. Two-speed gearbox

The servo, which shifts the gears of the two-speed gearbox, only requires a small turning angle of approx. 35°. This
has been programmed accordingly by the manufacturer for the supplied transmitter.
When using a different remote control for the vehicle, the servo travel must be limited accordingly (dual rate
setting) or you must identify the end points for the servo accordingly (EPA setting).
Failure to do so (or if you use a simple remote control without these setting options) can damage the servo,
the shift mechanism and the gearbox.
The gearbox shift points are mechanically fixed. This means that the shift lever (which is moved by the servo/servo
lever) selects the two gears in their two end positions. It is therefore critical for the movement of the servo/servo lever
that the two end positions are reached and that there is no overload due to the servo turning angle limitation (the
servo must not run on block).
