e) Inserting the Drive battery in the Vehicle
Attention!
The drive battery must not be connected to the speed controller yet. First switch on the transmitter, see
chapter 8. c) and d).
Important!
This vehicle is exclusively suitable for use with NiMH drive batteries with 6 cells (rated voltage 7.2 V) (called
racing packs).
When using a drive battery with more cells, there is a danger of fire from overheating of the speed controller.
Apart from this, the vehicle's drive will be overloaded and damaged by this (e.g. differential). Loss of gua-
rantee/warranty!
The speed controller installed in the vehicle can generally also be operated with a 2-cell LiPo battery (rated
voltage 7.4 V), but it has no undervoltage recognition function! This may lead to deep discharge of the LiPo
battery and damage it.
Loosen the two hook-and-loop tapes at the battery holder.
Place the drive battery into the battery holder and fasten it
with the two hook-and-loop tapes. Tighten the hook-and-
loop tapes so that the drive battery cannot move in the
battery holder.

f) Connecting the Drive battery to the Speed Controller

First switch off the speed controller. Put the On/Off switch
(see arrow in the figure to the right) into the „OFF" position
for this.
Then switch on the transmitter (see chapter 8. c) and d).
To prevent sudden start-up of the wheels and therefore uncontrolled starting of the model (e.g. if the trim-
ming for the drive is maladjusted), place the model vehicle on a suitable support (or starting box), so that the
wheels can turn freely in case of an error.
Do not reach into the drive. Do not hold the wheels.
Now connect the drive battery to the speed controller. Ensure correct polarity (red cable = plus/+, black cable =
minus/-).
