Tester set components

3.6.1

Clamping device

The clamping device can be used to mount up to six pas-
senger vehicle injectors (CRI 1/2/3) or up to four com-
mercial vehicle injectors (CRIN 1/2/3) for checking on
the EPS 708/EPS 815.
The injectors are inserted in the flexibly mounted injec-
tor holders (Fig. 3, item 8) and clamped in position by
way of holding devices/retaining plates and adapters
(CRIN only).
The distributor rail (Fig. 3, item 1) is connected via
a high-pressure hose to the high-pressure rail of the
tester set CRS 845/tester set CRS 845H and supplies
the injectors with test oil during the test procedure. For
checking, the injectors are connected by means of test
pressure lines to the high-pressure outlets
(Fig. 3, item 2) of the distributor rail. The distributor
rail (Fig. 3, item 1) is swivel-mounted and can be adjust-
ed in both horizontal and vertical direction for adapta-
tion to the type of injector concerned. The injectors are
actuated by way of the CRI 800 trigger electronics
(Fig. 3, item 9).
To reduce the weight of the clamping device for trans-
portation purposes for example, the injector holders
(Fig. 3, item 8) can be detached from the frame (Fig. 3,
item 11) by removing the knurled nut (Fig. 3, item 7).
The injector holder (Fig. 3, item 8) can then be lifted
out of its mount (Fig. 3, item 10) and removed.
The swivel-mounted stands (Fig. 3, item 12) provide a
stable base for the clamping device.
