To charge the batteries, proceed as follows:
➤ Connect the battery charger (chapter "Connecting the battery
charger" on page 38).
➤ Set the switch (fig. 7 6, page 5) to the required voltage ("12 V"
or "24 V").
➤ Set the switch (fig. 7 4, page 5) to "Charge".
Caution – risk of damage

If the red "Reverse polarity" LED (fig. 7 1, page 5) lights up you
have connected the battery terminals incorrectly.
Switch off the battery charger and reconnect it correctly.
✓ The automatic charging process starts.
✓ The blue charging display (fig. 7 2, page 5) displays the
current charging status of the battery.
The charging display consists of three LEDs that show the
charging status of the battery:
Display
Lower LED flashes
Lower LED is lit, central LED
flashes
Lower and central LED are lit,
upper LED flashes
All three LEDs are lit

Explanation
The battery is almost flat
The battery is approx. 40% charged
Charging is roughly 90% complete
The battery is fully charged
When the battery is fully charged, the charger
switches conservation charging mode (pulse
charging)
