ADJUSTMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF THE PRES-
SURE REDUCER
The pressure reducer in the heating circuit refill unit is set to 1.5 bar in the factory The functioning of the
pressure reducer must be checked at least annually and the pressure reducer cleaned.
Adjusting the pressure reducer (adjustment range: 0.5 to 4 bar)
/ Undo the locking screw of the pressure reducer handweel (see fig. 5).
/ The inlet pressure must be at least 1 bar higher that the desired system pressure.
/ Pressure reduction: Turn the adjusting handle towards the minus (–) marking.
/ Monitor the pressure gauge (outlet pressure)!
/ Pressure increase: Turn the adjusting handle towards the plus (+) marking.
/ Monitor the pressure gauge (outlet pressure)!
/ After reaching the desired pressure retighten the locking screw.
If the pressure reducer is defective, the pressure reducer cartridge must be replaced.
Replacement of the pressure reducer cartridge
/ Fold the casing cover upwards and remove the front and rear casing halves and close both shut-off
valves (see fig. 7).
/ Unscrew the old pressure reducer cartridge using the ring spanner and remove.
/ Screw the new pressure reducer cartridge on using the ring spanner and tighten to about 8 Nm.
