REPLACEMENT OF THE PIPE DISCONNECTOR
CARTRIDGE
Removing the pressure gauge
The pressure gauge must be removed if it is defective and also when the pipe disconnector cartridge re-
quires replacement.
/ Fold the casing cover upwards and remove the front casing half and close both shut-off valves (see
fig. 6 I).
/ Using a screwdriver, lever out the clip that retains the pressure gauge (see fig. 6 II).
/ Then lever the pressure gauge out using the screwdriver (see fig. 6 III).
/ Assembly takes place in the reverse sequence.
Removing the pipe disconnector cartridge
The pipe disconnector must be removed if it is defective and also when the pipe disconnector cartridge is
fouled and requires cleaning or replacement.
/ A special tool (see fig. 6 IV) is necessary for removal (see chapter 12 "ACCESSORIES").
/ Place the tool from above on to the pipe disconnector cartridge and turn in a clockwise direction (see
fig. 6 V).
/ Ensure that both pegs of the tool engage in the clips of the pipe disconnector cartridge (see fig. 6 VI).
/ Screw out the pipe disconnector cartridge while applying a light turning pressure and clean with clear
drinking water as necessary (see fig. 6 VII).
/ Assembly takes place in the reverse sequence.
Removal of the outlet side backflow preventer
/ Turn the tool over and position from above on the backflow preventer (see fig. 6 VIII).
/ In doing so, ensure that the openings engage with the pegs of the backflow preventer (see fig. 6 IX).
/ Remove the backflow preventer by rotating counterclockwise (see fig. 6 X).
/ Assembly takes place in the reverse sequence.
