Adjusting the Condyle Clasp
1.
The DynaCox evolution comes with
two different pads for the condylar
clasp, i.e. a thicker and a thinner one
(fig. 11). The thicker pad is cushioned
by air pockets. Both pads feature
markings for potential cutting lines
along the edges. If the patient's leg
circumference is very small, it may
be necessary to shorten the pads on
both sides, in order to be able to ad-
just the condylar pads as necessary.
We recommend that the thinner pad
be used for obese patients.

2.
Upon delivery, the lateral bar of the
condylar clasp is already installed on
the designated side. Please note that,
in case the products were ordered for a
consignment stock, the lateral side may
have to be transferred to the other side. If
you want to switch the side on which the
bar is attached, remove the two screws
on the side of the condylar clasp, where
the lateral bar is attached. Now pull the
condylar clasp off the condylar pad (fig.
12), turn it by 180°, and reattach it on
the condylar clasp (fig. 13). Then screw
the condylar clasp and the condylar pad
back together.

Now adjust the position of the condylar
pads. Do so by pushing the pads along
the slide track. This way, the pads
can be moved into a more anterior or
posterior position (fig. 14). Secure the
position by carefully tightening the two
Allen screws (1Nm).
In case your patient's leg circumferen-
ce is very large, it may be necessary
to adjust the angle of the condylar
clasp to the angle of the lateral bar
in order to achieve a good fit. To do
this, loosen the two hexagon socket
screws connecting the lateral bar with
the condylar clasp. Take care to loosen,
but not to remove the screws. It is now
possible to tilt the condylar clasp by
