Commissioning

Preparing commissioning
Set up water supply if necessary.
Fill the separator with cold water up to the static level (height of the outlet), unless this has already been carried out.
Have a general inspection carried out (during initial commissioning and then every 5 years).
switch the control unit on.
Connect the power supply.
Set the main switch to the "ON" position.
✓ Control unit starts automatically.
Initialisation of the control unit
Switch main switch off and then back on again.
✓ Control unit starts up.
✓ LEDs light up briefly, one after the other. Power LED is lit
continuously.
If, except for the Power LED, no LEDs are lit continuously
or flash, the control unit is in normal mode and the putting
into service can be continued.
Ensure that the system nominal size has been set cor-
rectly at the DIP switch. To do so, compare the value
printed on the type plate (NS) with the figure to the side.
Check the functional capability of the electrical acces-
sories.
Perform a functional test, see below.

Functional test

Functional test shredder-mix pump
Make sure that the shut-off valve for the pump valve is open (completely pulled out and secured).
If necessary, turn the main switch at the control unit into the "ON" position.
✓ The control unit starts.
Check whether error messages are displayed.
Start the pump in manual operation and pay attention to the following:
Pump is running without interference noises and interruption-free.
Pump is running in the correct direction (direction of arrow on the pump).
✓ If no problems occur, the system is ready for commissioning and/or general inspection. If problems occur, proceed as
described in the Maintenance chapter (see "Maintenance", page 29).
Tightness of the pipe connections
Before commissioning, a leak test must be performed on all on-site connections. The pre-assembled connections have
undergone a leak test at the factory and only need to be tested again if the connections have been dismantled e.g. for easier
installation.
