Electric starter
If the engine fails to start within 5 seconds, release the key, and wait at least 10 seconds
Using the electric starter for more than 5 seconds at a time will overheat the starter motor and

Turn the ignition key to the " " Position and hold it until the engine runs.

If the choke rod has been moved to the CLOSED position to start the engine, gradually move it
to the OPEN position as the engine warms up.

5.6.2.
Manual starter
•
Pull the starter grip lightly until you feel resistance, then pull rapidly. Repeat until the engine
runs.
Do not allow the starter grip to snap back against the engine.

Close the engine hood.

Interruption of operation

Turn the ignition switch to the "0" position. The engine shuts off.
