Scope of delivery

The power generators are delivered with the operating instructions for the power generator and the
motor drive, as well as 2 ignition keys. Other accessories are not included as standard.
4.7.

Technical description

4.7.1.

General information

The power unit is installed in a base frame with integrated fuel tank. The upward slewable engine
hood provides access for maintenance. For crane transportation there is a lifting eye (pos. 15.4). The
power generator is operated via an ignition switch (pos. 16-7).
4.7.2.

Socket-outlet connection

The connection of the consumers is carried out with electrical sockets on the control box.
Voltages of 400V Hz can be tapped via the CEE 400V electrical outlet (pos.16-6).
Voltages of 230V Hz can be tapped via the CEE 230V electrical outlet (pos. 16-4), as well as via the 230V
safety socket (pos. 16-12).
4.7.3.

Connection protection

All the electrical outlets are protected by circuit breakers (pos. 16-3). Additionally the 230V safety sock-
et (pos. 16-12) is protected by a thermal fuse (Pos. 16-5).
4.7.4.

Starting amplification

The Power generator uses an asynchronous alternators with automatic starting amplification. As soon
as the electrical consumption increases over the rated current, an additional excitation is added to the
standard excitation. The voltage drop can thus be compensated. By a switch (Pos. 16-13), the starting
amplifier can be disabled.
When operating welding equipment the starting amplifier has to be deactivated, to prevent dam-
