5.8.1.

Removal

• Decommission the power generator.
• Remove the switch box cover, for this remove the 7 screws and remove the switch box cover.
• Disconnect the negative cable from the battery by loosening the corresponding terminal
clamp.
• Likewise, disconnect the positive cable from the battery by loosening the corresponding termi-
nal clamp.
• Remove the tension rod, by opening the wing nuts.
• Battery can now be removed.
• Insulate the terminal clamps of the battery cables or secure the power generator from getting
started.
5.8.2.

Installing

• Re-assemble is carried out in the reverse order of work.
• Clean the battery with a clean cloth.
• Lightly grease the terminals with battery-grease or petroleum jelly.
• Screw the connecting terminals tightly to the battery terminals.
• Attach the switch box cover in position and tighten the seven screws.
