2.5 Installing wire feeder with rotating plate

This section describes the rotating plate installation of the wire feeder (on top of the power source).
The installation of the wire feeder rotating plate and the wire feeder double rotating plate on top of the power source is
identical. However, for stacked installation, additional support is required. Read the installation notes here: "Install-
ation" on page 19 and "Other optional accessories" on page 56.
Tools needed:
1. Remove the screws holding the front and rear fixing plates (and wire feeder locking mechanism) on the power
source. Leave the fixing plates in their positions.
If the fixing plates were not yet installed at this stage, install them together with the rotating plate.
Depending on your X5 FastMig setup, two different rear fixing plate options are available. Both include an interface for
the interconnection cable strain relief mechanism, but the longer one acts also as a cart connection bracket.
2. Place the wire feeder rotating plate on top of the power source.
3. Secure the rotating plate and the fixing plates underneath with the screws (M6x30) provided with the rotating
plate.
If the rotating plate is delivered with different screw options, select the one matching your welding equipment.
