CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Maintenance
• Remove dust from the fan grilles on the back of the grill at regular intervals, for
example with a brush or vacuum cleaner. Otherwise, the grill does not contain any
parts that require maintenance.
Cleaning
DANGER
Risk of burns! The grill becomes very hot during operation. Let the grill
cool down completely before cleaning.
• Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, brushes with metal or nylon bristles or
other metallic cleaning objects such as knives, scrapers or metal sponges. This can
damage the surfaces of the grill.
• Before cleaning the grill, turn it off and unplug the power cord.
• Never immerse the grill in water for cleaning.
To clean the grill, proceed as follows:
1. Remove the grill rack (1 1) and grease drip tray (10). Make sure that any liquids in
the grease drip tray (10) do not spill over or grill residues do not fall out.
2. Remove the grill rack holders (13) by lifting them out of the recesses on the sides of
the grilling chamber (12).
3. Clean the grill rack (1 1), grease drip tray (10), grill rack holder (13) and handle (9)
in the rinsing bath with a commercial dishwashing detergent or alternatively in the
dishwasher.
In the following, the cleaning of the grill, divided into external cleaning and internal
cleaning, is described in more detail.
External cleaning
• Clean the outer surfaces of the grill with a slightly moistened, soft cloth and a
commercial detergent. Make sure that no moisture gets inside the appliance through
the fan grilles.

Internal cleaning

• The interior of the grill can be cleaned with water and commercial dishwashing
detergent. For stubborn dirt you can use scouring milk.
• Use a commercial pot sponge to remove incrustations. Do not use sponges with
metal or nylon bristles.
• For cleaning the interior, especially in the case of burnt-in incrustations, we also
recommend using a commercially available oven cleaner.
