Installation with ZL load button and EPO thrust piece
Under these mounting conditions the applied forces are distributed evenly onto
the load application surfaces of the sensor by the load button, which results in
a lower repeatability error. The contact stresses between the thrust piece and
the part connecting to it are significantly reduced in comparison with the
installation method described in 7.4, thus protecting the connecting part.
The structural element that applies the force onto the EPO must have a hard
ness of at least 39HRC and should be parallel to the substructure. We recom
mend a ground surface.
The instructions given in section 7.4 apply to the support structure.
It is possible to equip the C6B on the top and bottom with the combination of
load button and thrust piece so that offsets of the upper and lower connecting
structure can be compensated.
The customer-side solder tabs must also be parallel to each other under these
mounting conditions.
The construction elements connected to the EPO or force transducer must be
arranged in such a way that they do not exceed an angle of 2 degrees to one
another. The two load applications must be suitably protected against shifting
relative to each other. We recommend calibrating the C6B with both connec
tion parts as the sensitivity of the sensor can be dependent on the fittings
used.
