worsening of the complaint).
5.1 Application
>
The patient should be seated.
>
The knee joint should be slightly bent and relieved of pressure.
1) Slide the brace over the leg from the front. When doing this, the brace
joint must be on the lateral side of the affected compartment.
2) Position the brace on the leg in such a way that the brace joint is at the
height of the middle of the patella (see fig. 2).
3) Fasten the top strap for the lower leg. To do so, insert the screw cap at
an angle and press it against the brace (see fig. 3). When doing so, be
sure that the tibia pad is under the fastening strap.
4) Turn the screw cap clockwise until the lower leg strap is sitting firmly
and comfortably (see fig. 4).
5) If the top lower leg strap is too tight, turn the screw cap anticlockwise
(see fig. 5). This loosens the tieback in the lower leg strap. If the tieback
is too lose, turn the screw cap clockwise to tighten the strap again.
6) Fasten the remaining straps by pulling the straps through the strap guide
loops and fastening them. Do this in the following order: the bottom low
er leg strap, the bottom thigh strap, the top thigh strap.
7) Ensure that the brace is in a firm and comfortable position.
