7.1
How to replace the batteries

If the meter is on, turn it off.

Remove the battery compartment cover in the direction of the arrow marked on the
battery cover.

Remove the used batteries and replace them by three new 1.5 V AAA batteries.
Observe correct polarity!

Put the battery compartment cover back on and push it against the direction of the
arrow.

Troubleshooting
Problem
glows or flashes
The instrument
automatically shuts
down.
"Error" is displayed
Meter works normally
but there is no sound
when a key is pressed
even though the key
sounds are activated
Measurement data are
inaccurate
Possible causes
- Battery nearly flat
- Auto shutdown function
enabled
- Battery nearly flat
- Operating temperature
exceeds specified value
- Probe connection broken
- Measurement range
exceeded
- Buzzer damaged
- Probe not properly
connected
- Probe not suitable
- Internal circuit damage

Possible solution
- Replace batteries
- Disable auto shutdown function
- Replace batteries
- Move meter to a place where
specified operating temperature
is met
- Re-connect the probe
- Use a probe that covers the
required measurement range
- Contact PCE Instruments
- Connect the probe correctly
- Use only probes from PCE
