SIM Card End-to-End Encryption

5.17.1 Enabling/Disabling SIM Card End-to-End Encryption

Prerequisites: You cannot be in a call nor press the PTT button.
To enable/disable SIM Card End-to-End Encryption, use one of the following ways:
• Press a One-Touch Button ascribed to enabling/disabling SIM Card End-to-End Encryption
• From the home screen, press MENU → Crypto Menu → Crypto Funct.. Select Encryption On to
enable or Encryption Off to disable encryption.
Result: Your radio displays prompts indicating your current encryption state: an appropriate status icon and
Encryption On or Encryption Off message.

5.17.2 Setting Alarm Tone

When and where to use:
Use this menu item to turn on/off the Alarm Tone notifying about any clear transmission.
Procedure Steps
From the home screen, press MENU key.

2 Select More . . . → Crypto Menu.
Select Alarm Tone On to enable or Alarm Tone Off to disable the Alarm Tone.
