DEF FLUID DELIVERY SYSTEM - MAIN COMPONENTS

1 - Dosing Control Unit (DCU box): this device
supplies the fluid DEF to the injector (3). The
GB
fluid amount is regulated by the electronic engine
system management. The Unit could be installed
on the tank containing the DEF fluid. It is com-
posed of:
- pump (a)
- filter (b)
- pressure transducer (c)
- pump/filter heater (d)
- control unit
2 - DEF tank: it contains the DEF fluid. It is
composed of:
- filling cap (blue colour usually) (A)
- internal filter (B)
- DEF level sensor (C)
- DEF temperature sensor
3 - DEF fluid supply lines:
the lines are composed of three tubes electrical-
ly heated.
The heating pipes is managed by DCU box.
The fluid supply lines are approved by VM
Motori.
