Installation

Follow the sequence of steps below to install the unit.

1. Setting the switches
Controller selection switch / installation direction switch / landing characteristics
settings
Select the controller and set the installation direction and landing characteristics.
(RP605 / installation on the ceiling / soft landing are the default settings.)

Remove the 4 head cover screws, and remove the cover slowly. (Take care not to
disturb the tally LED lamp wiring connections when removing the cover.)
2.
Set the SW1, SW2 and SW4 switches on the front printed circuit board as follows.
For AW-RP605A/AW-RP655/AW-RP555/AW-RP400/AW-RP50:
Set SW1 switch to its left-side position (RP605). (Factory setting)
For AW-RP301/AW-RP305/AW-RP501/AW-RP505:
Set SW1 switch to its right-side position (RP501).
For installation on the ceiling:
Set SW2 to its left-side position (HANGING). (Factory setting)
For stand-alone installation:
Set SW2 to its right-side position (DESKTOP).
For a soft landing:
Set SW4 switch No.4 to its top position (ON). (Factory setting)
For a precise landing:
Set SW4 switch No.4 to its bottom position (OFF).

Upon completion of the settings, return the head cover to its original position, and
secure it with the screws (while taking care not to pinch the wires).
(Be sure to ask your dealer to install the unit.)
