CAUTION: Always use a shoehorn. If you do not use a shoehorn, you can pinch your fingers between the foot
cover and the foot.
Annual Inspection
Inspect the Balance Foot S and Balance Foot S Torsion annually.
Noise
Sand or debris can cause noise if it goes between the blade, heel foam and foot cover.
If noise occurs, a certified prosthetist will:
• use a shoehorn to first remove the foot with Spectra sock from the foot cover.
• then use compressed air to remove sand or debris.
Cleaning
Clean the device with tap water if necessary. It is necessary to clean the device if salt water gets onto it or gets into
the foot cover. Dry with a lint-free cloth.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Balance Foot S and Balance Foot S Torsion are waterproof devices which allow use in wet and humid
environments. It can be temporarily (<30 mins.) submerged in fresh water with a depth of 1 m.
Exposure to fresh water shall have no harmful effects. Dry thoroughly after contact with fresh water. Fresh water:
Includes tap water. Does not include salt and chlorinated water.
CAUTION: Do not get salt water on the device. Salt water can cause corrosion. Fully clean the device if you get salt
water on it. Follow the cleaning instructions above.

DISPOSAL
All components of the product and packaging should be disposed of in accordance with respective national
environmental regulations. Users should contact their local governmental office for information on how these
items can be disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
COMPLIANCE
The Balance Foot S and Balance Foot S Torsion has been tested according to ISO 10328 standard to two million
load cycles. Depending on the user's activity this corresponds to a duration of use of two to three years. We
recommend carrying out yearly safety checks. This device has been tested for low impact level use. Refer to the
category selection chart for low impact level use.
In the standard mentioned, test levels (P) are assigned to certain maximal body masses (m). In some cases, which
are marked with*), no test level is assigned to the device related to maximal body mass. In these cases, the test
loads have been adapted adequately on the basis of the specified load level.
