■ Always start drilling at a low speed and with
the drill bit in contact with the workpiece. At
higher speeds, the drill bit can bend slightly if
allowed to turn freely without being in contact
with the workpiece and this can lead to injuries .

Do not exert excessive pressure and only
along the length of the drill bit (no lateral
pressure). Drill bits can bend and break, which
can lead to a loss of control and injuries .
