5.10.1.
Removal
•
Put the power generator out of service.
•
Switch the automatic circuit-breakers off.
•
Secure the power generator against being switched on.
If necessary, attach warning notices.
•
Remove the battery compartment cover (20-15). To do this, undo the 8 fastening screws and
take the cover off.
•
Remove the battery cover. By loosening the 2 nuts of the tension rods.
•
Disconnect the minus cable by undoing the respective connection terminal on the battery.
•
Disconnect the plus cable by undoing the respective connection terminal on the battery.
•
Remove the battery.
•
Secure the power generator against being switched on or insulate the connection terminals on
the battery cables.
5.10.2.
Installation
•
The sequence of operations for installation is the reverse of those for removal.
•
Clean the surface of the battery using a clean cloth.
•
Lightly grease the poles of the battery with battery grease or Vaseline.
•
Screw the connection terminals to the battery poles.
Make sure everything is securely seated.
