Maintenance work on the power generator
Inform the operating staff before the starting special and maintenance work! Designate a su-

pervisor!
During all work which involves the operation, adjustment of the power generator and their
I
safety-related devices and during inspection, maintenance and repair and power-on and pow-
er-off operations, comply with the operating instructions and the supplementary notes!
Perform all work only on power generators have been cooled down and are in standstill!

Secure the stopped power generator against inadvertent reconnection during maintenance
I
and repair work!
Amply secure the work area!

Appropriate shop equipment is mandatory to perform maintenance jobs!
I
Carefully attach individual parts and major assemblies to suitable lifting equipment during
I
replacement. Secure the load so that it cannot cause any kind of hazard. Use only appropriate
and technically sound lifting equipment and load-carrying devices with sufficient load capacity!
Never stay under suspended loads!
Commission solely authorised persons to sling loads and instruct the crane operators! The spot-
I
ter must stay in the line of sight of the crane operator or maintain voice contact with him!
Clean the power generator, in particular the connectors and fittings to remove dirt, fuel or care
I
agents when starting maintenance and repair! Never use aggressive cleaning agents! Use lint-
free cleaning cloths! Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the equipment used!
For safety reasons, before cleaning the power generator with water, high-pressure cleaners or
I
detergents, close all openings watertight to prevent any water/ steam/cleaning agents from
penetrating. The electrical components are particularly at risk. After cleaning completely remo-
ve all covers and adhesions! Check the components for moisture that has penetrated. Dry off all
wet parts completely before start-up!
After cleaning, check all fuel and engine oil lines for leaks, loose connections, abrasions and
I
damage! Repair any noticed faults immediately!
During maintenance and repair work always tighten threaded connections to the specified tor-
I
que!
If disassembly of safeguards is required when setting up, maintaining and repairing, check for
I
correct assembly and functioning of the safeguards immediately after completion of the work!
Ensure safe and environmentally sound disposal of fuels and auxiliary substances and replace-
I
ment parts!

Changes to the power generator
Only specialists authorised by EISEMANN are permitted to make any changes on the power
I
generator!
Only a qualified electrician is allowed to work on the electrical equipment of the power genera-
I
tor in accordance with the electrotechnical rules!
