7.2 Filling with frying oil

FIRE HAZARD / DANGER of
burns!
The filling level of the frying fat/oil in its
liquid state must be between the MIN
and MAX 12 markings on the inside of
the oil container 8.
Only fats and oils that are suitable for
frying should be used (see "The basics
of frying" on page 8).
1. Approx. 3.3 (MIN) to 4 (MAX) litres of
frying oil or approx. 3.0 (MIN) to
3.5 (MAX) kg of solid frying fat are re-
quired.
2. Solid frying fat should first be put into a
pan and melted slowly at a low temper-
ature. Only then should it be poured
carefully into the oil container 8 of the
deep fryer 9.

7.3 Heating the frying oil/fat

Do not touch any hot parts of the device
such as the inspection window 2.
1. Close the lid 1. It must click into place
firmly.
2. Insert the mains plug 22 into an easily
accessible earthed wall socket whose
voltage matches the voltage stated on
the rating plate.
3. Set the temperature controller 18 to
MIN.
4. Switch the on/off switch O/I 24 on the
back of the device to I, to switch on the
device. The operation control light
POWER 17 and the temperature con-
trol light READY 16 will be lit.
5. Set the desired temperature by using the
temperature controller 18.
- On the packaging of the food, you
will find recommendations for the tem-
perature and frying time.
- The temperature control light
READY 16 goes out when the device
is heating up.
- The temperature control light
READY 16 will be lit again when the
set temperature is reached.
NOTE: we recommend heating the frying
fat/oil for approx. 10 to 15 minutes in order
to ensure that it is heated evenly.
As for the details of the temperature, please
refer to the packaging of the food, the frying
table (see "Frying table" on page 9) or to
the temperature specifications 15 on the de-
vice.
