Infra-red remote control:
Note: Some keys are to be found both on the device itself and on the remote
control. Keys with the same designation have the same function.
1. Open the fl ap (18).
2. Set the function switch (13) to TUNER.
3. Select the desired frequency band using the band selection switch (15).
4. VHF Stereo = FM ST
5. Tune in the desired station with the station adjustment knob TUNING (16).
6. The stereo control light (28) beneath the adjustment knob only lights up when
you have selected VHF stereo and receive the station in stereo quality. If
reception is too weak and the station received crackles, it may be that this light
will not come on. Try to improve reception by turning and bending or twisting
and altering the length of the antenna. If no improvement can be achieved we
recommend switching to VHF-mono.
7. To receive MW/AM stations proceed in the same manner. In this frequency
band programs are transmitted in „mono" only.
Note: An antenna has been built in to the device for receiving AM stations.
The music centre can be directed towards a station by rotating it or changing its
position. For the reception of short-wave stations there is a throw-out antenna
connected to the music centre (32).
Playing cassettes
1. Turn the function switch (13) to the TAPE position.
2. Press the STOP/EJ. button (24), in order to open the cassette compartment (19).
3. Insert an audiocassette into the compartment with the tape facing forward and
the side you wish to listen to facing upwards.
4. Press the PLAY button (21) in order to play the tape.
5. Use the STOP/EJ. key (24) to stop the playing.
6. If necessary, run the tape forwards or backwards as required by means of the
arrow buttons.
Between switching over and also to stop the tape running functions, always
press the STOP/EJ. button (24). By doing so, you can avoid damages to the
device or to the tape.
