If at least one HDD and additionally one SSD are present as hard disks, the following function is also available:
– "Reorganize partition layout"
The use of an HDD or SSD as a system drive is swapped. No image is restored. All data, user settings and
authorizations are lost in the process.
If the hard disks are partitioned as in the factory settings, the following additional functions are available:

Only the system partition C: is deleted and restored with the "A1 image".
"Restore system partition (with PCS 7)"
Only the C: system partition is deleted and restored to the
condition as shipped with the "A2 image".

6. Continue the restore process and follow the instructions in the dialogs.

Warning: overwriting of data
If there is more than one Restore DVD for your PC, the Restore images are temporarily stored in the "Images" folder on
the data partition of the system drive.
Do not create a folder named "Images" on the data partition.

Do not store your own data in the "Images" folder on the data partition.
•
Make sure that there is enough free storage space (15-20 GB) on the data partition if you are restoring.
•
A message appears indicating that the system restore is completed.

Hotfixes and security updates

The Restore packages contain Microsoft security patches up to and including May 9, 2017.
Under Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows 10, you might be prompted during operation of your system to update the
system with security patches and/or important Microsoft patches. In order to avoid malfunctions of PCS 7, the local group
policy "Local Computer Policy->Computer Configuration->Administrative Templates->Windows Components->Windows
Update->Configure Automatic Updates" is set on your system to "Disabled". This procedure for setting your system is

Therefore, you must always request and install Windows updates manually for your system.
