After commissioning, connect the remaining displays and configure your multi-display configuration using the corresponding
settings of the respective operating system or installed display adapter software. In doing so, please also take into account
ergonomic considerations.

Setting display properties
If you retrofit your system with a Matrox multi-display graphics card M91x0, which has been used with PCS 7 in the past, the
BIOS settings of the system must be adapted.
For this system configuration, set the setting for "Primary Display" to "Auto" under "Advanced->Graphics Configuration" in
the BIOS.

PCS 7 software product package

The PCS 7 software V9.0 is pre-installed on your device in addition to the operating system. The scope of the PCS 7
software is optimized for the respective device version. This means that you do not have to transfer any other software to
your device, apart from the licenses. You can install additional PCS 7 packages, if required.
Restore DVDs
The product package includes a set of restore DVDs with which you can restore the system partition or entire hard disk if a
fault occurs.

Functions of the Restore DVD
PCS 7 systems with version V9.0 based on IPC647D/IPC847D are set up in the factory and by Restore DVDs as UEFI-
based systems with "GUID Partition Table" (GPT) partitioning. The Restore DVDs must be booted in "UEFI" mode.
You can manually select the boot modes via your system's boot manager. To do so, press the <ESC> key when the systems
starts up and navigate with the cursor keys first to the boot manager and then the required boot entry.
The functions of the Restore DVD menu described below vary in some points depending on the system setup and the
system drives.
You have the following options:
● Restore factory settings
– Restore the factory settings of all drives with the Windows operating system and the PCS 7 software (includes A2
image). If the use of the system drive had been changed beforehand using "Reorganize partition layout", this change
will not be applied. The result to be expected after the action has been carried out is displayed in the description.
● Restore system partition (Windows only)
– Restore system partition with the Windows operating system, without Microsoft SQL Server and the specific PCS 7
software (corresponds to A1 image).
● Restore system partition (with PCS 7)
– Restore system partition with the Windows operating system and the PCS 7 software (corresponds to A2 image).
● Restore partition layout
– The partition layout is created for all hard disks and no image is restored. You can use this function, for example,
after replacing a hard disk to subsequently restore only the system partition (Windows only).
● Reorganize partition layout (only with unpartitioned UEFI hybrid systems)
– The partition layout of the existing hard disks HDD (Hard Disk Drive) and SSD (Solid State Drive) is swapped for
functional use. This function is used to change the configuration of the system drive, that is, whether the system
partition is to be used on an HDD or an SSD. The result to be expected after the action has been carried out is
displayed in the description. After reorganization has been carried out, you have to restore the factory settings or the
system partition.
