Configure the bus system in accordance with your system
requirements, the specifications in the device master data
files, the manufacturer's specifications, and all valid
technical standards, directives, and safety regulations. Take
the operator's documentation on configuring the bus master
into account.
The configuration may also be carried out using other
configuration software, if the described parameters and
settings are adhered to.
7.2.1

Loading the GSD file of the device

The device master data file GSD includes the performance
characteristics of the DP slaves or DP master. The GSD is
standardized in accordance with EN 50170, Part 2, PROFIBUS.
In this way, DP components from different manufacturers can
be implemented using any planning software that supports
GSD.
Each valve system is equipped with valves according to the
delivered configuration and must now be configured as a DP
slave; this example uses the IndraWorks program.
The configuration can also be done using the corresponding tool
from other manufacturers.
The IndraWorks software delivery includes all current
AVENTICS GSD files that were available when the software
version was generated.
If the GSD file is not included in your version of IndraWorks, you
need to import it to the program:
1. Start IndraWorks.
2. Click the symbol of the PROFIBUS master (Profibus/M)
using the right mouse button.
A window with the menu item GSD-Datei importieren
(Import GSD file) opens up.
