The head incorporates two LEDs for status indication in various modes:
LED status
Off
Green
Red
Red flash
Amber
Amber flash

Servo LED
No power (probe LED also off)
Servos on
Servos off
Comms to head failed (probe LED also off)
'Soft engage' mode
Auto-tune in progress
Probe LED
Probe trigger
Probe calibrated
Stylus removed (or probe error)
Probe removed from head
Probe turned off
Probe not calibrated
