Operating Instructions
Unloading from the pallet
Risk of injury!

Immediately stops all functions:
remove red battery connector
Three floor boards on the pallet are
attached with screws. Unscrew these
boards.
Place boards along the edge of the
pallet. Align the boards in front of the
wheels of the unit. Attach the boards
with the screws.
Place the support beams, enclosed with
the packaging, under the ramp.
Remove the wooden laths.
Plug in the battery plug.
Set the key-operated switch to "I".
Press "Direction-of-travel" pushbutton
and slowly run the unit down the ramp.
Set key switch back to "O".
Attaching the brushes
BD model
Before switching on the unit, the disc
brushes must be attached (see
"Maintenance procedures").
BR model
The brushes are attached.
Attaching the suction bar
Insert the suction bar into the suction-
bar suspension device, ensuring that the
profiled sheet is situated over the
suspension device.
Tighten the star knobs.
Attach the suction hose.

Checking the parking brake
Attention!
Check the function of the parking
brake on level ground before starting.
Sit on the seat.
Turn the key-operated switch to "1".
Select a direction of movement.
Press the throttle lightly.
The brake must release audibly (the par-
king brake control lamp lights up on the
control panel). The unit must roll easily on
level ground. The brake engages audibly
when the pedal is released. The unit must
be switched off and the customer service
called if the above mentioned does not
apply.
Driving
Attention!
If the brakes on the unit fail, proceed
as follows:
– If the unit does not come to a standstill
on a ramp >2% when the throttle is
released, the battery plug may only be
pulled out in the sense of an emergency
stop function for safety reasons when
the parking brake has been tested for
proper working order every time the
machine is started.
– The battery plug must be pulled out in
any case on surfaces <2%.
– On reaching standstill (on a level
surface), the unit should be switched off
and customer service should be notified!
– The maintenance instructions for brakes
must be observed additionally.
In either case switch off the unit and call
customer service.
Get used to your unit by test-driving it in an
open space.
Unit may tip over if steering wheel turned
sharply. Drive up/down slopes at low speed
only.
Risk of overturning on too high
gradients!

The machine could topple over when
driving and turning on slopes.
– Drive only on slopes up to 10 % in the
travelling direction.
– At right angles to direction of travel only
negotiate gradients up to a maximum of
10 %.
Risk of overturning when taking bends
rapidly!
Danger!
!
The machine can topple-over when
driving fast around curves.
– Drive slowly in curves.
Danger of tipping over given an
unstable travelling surface!
Danger!
!
The machine can tip over given an
unstable travelling surface.
– Move the machine exclusively on a solid
travelling surface.
Danger of tipping over given a sideways
incline that is too large!
Danger!
!
The machine can tip over given an
incline of more than 10 %.

The unit is designed with the brush
head projecting from the right side,
enabling the operator to clean up to the
very edge.
Sit on the unit and set the key switch to
"I".
Set the direction of travel with the
"Direction-of-travel" buttons on the
control panel. The direction of travel is
indicated by the indicator lights.
Specify the driving speed by depressing
the drive pedal. While the unit is moving,
the speed is indicated on the display
panel.
To stop the unit: release the drive pedal.
Adding detergent
Caution!
Use the recommended detergents
only. If other detergents are used, the
operator increases the risk of malfunctions
and accidents.
Detergents must not contain solvents,
hydrochloric acid or hydrofluoric acid.

Do not use detergents which foam
vigorously.
Before switching on the unit for the first
time, completely fill the fresh-water tank in
order to vent the water line system.
Working without recycling mode
If cleaning in hygienic areas (e.g. hospitals,
food companies) and if giving very dirty
floors a basic cleaning.
Undo the catch on the fresh-water tank.
Fill with fresh water (maximum 60 °C) up
to the lower edge of the filler inlet
Add detergent.
Comply with the metering information.
