Use perforated sandpaper. Doing this will increase the
level of suction and reduce the development of dust.
Replacing the hook-and-loop sanding pad (foam pad):
The hook-and-loop sanding pad must be absolutely even
in order to achieve good sanding results. Deformed or
damaged pads will do an uneven sanding job. Always
replace damaged pads.
The hook-and-loop sanding pad is provided with a hook-
and-loop layer on both sides; to replace the sanding pad,
remove it from the support disc and then attach a new
sanding pad; when doing this make sure it is centred pre-
cisely and that it lines up with the extraction openings.
Brush bristles on the edge of the sanding plate cover:
The brush bristles on the edge of the sanding plate cover
improve the vacuum cleaner's dust collection efficiency.
The brush bristle component is a wear part.
The sanding plate cover must be replaced when the brus-
hes are too worn to ensure effective dust collection and
stabilisation of the sanding head.
To replace the cover proceed as follows:
Ensure that the machine is unplugged. Remove the hook-
and-loop sanding pad. Press the spindle lock and rotate
the hook-and-loop sanding pad until the lock engages.
Then rotate the sanding plate counterclockwise to remo-
ve.

Then press the cover against the spring and use the circlip
pliers to remove the circlip which connects the sanding
plate cover with the gear casing.
Translation of the original instruction
Carefully release the vacuum hose and remove the san-
ding plate cover.
CAUTION: Pressure spring disengages.
To replace, perform the disassembly steps in reverse
order. Do not forget the pressure spring.
Fitting the suction hose
1. Plug the bayonet adaptor into the swivel connector on
the back of the machine. As soon as the pins on the bayo-
net fitting are fully inserted into the slots, hold the swivel
connector and turn the bayonet fitting of the hose clock-
wise to lock it in place.
2. To disassemble, follow the assembly instructions in
reverse order.
Vacuum cleaner
Use a suitable vacuum cleaner for sanding tasks only.
Failure to use the device without a vacuum cleaner will
increase the level of airborne dust at the workplace. Pro-
longed exposure to such dust may damage your respira-
tory system. Always wear a suitable and approved dust
mask while doing sanding work.
Commissioning/Decommissioning
Make sure that the mains voltage is the same as that
shown on the type plate of the device and that the switch
is set to "OFF" before the device is connected to the
mains.
Switching the device on and off
Press the ON switch to switch on the tool. Release to
stop. If continuous operation is required, the switch may
be locked on. To release the lock, first squeeze the trig-
ger, then release. After the machine has been switched
off, the sanding disc will still rotate for a time. Make sure
you avoid all body contact with the disc and do not put
