• The air required for burning is taken from the environment of the hob and the burnt
gases are released to it. Proper ventilation should be maintained for safe operation
of the unit. The ventilation openings defined as per the volume of the environment
are provided at the table (Table 1).
• Burnt gases should be discharged outside by the hood with connection to
ventilation shaft.
• If no kitchen hood is used, an electrical fan should be installed at the wall or win-
dow of the building able to discharge 3-5 times of the kitchen air (Figure 6).
