7. Emergency lowering

The emergency lowering function allows you
to return your bed to the start position if there
is a power cut or the power supply is defective.
7.1 Make sure that both the batteries for emergency
lowering in the motor block are attached.
Take care: danger of jamming by the returning
rods. The mains-independent resetting function
is not a safety system in the sense of danger
prevention.
7.2 Operate one motor after another and only
downward (Upward operation only discharges the
batteries unnecessarily; the bed is not moved due
to the load).
7.3 Press the «Back section down button» and hold
it down until the back section is lowered down
completely.
7.4 Then wait 60 seconds until the battery is ready
again. Repeat the procedure for all section adjust-
ments until the frame has returned to the starting
position.
7.5 If a button is released during lowering, please
always wait until the button can be pressed again.
7.6 After lowering, the battery will be used up.
Remove the battery and dispose of it appropriately.

8. Technical notes

8.1 Information on radio control
The drives of your box are equipped with a radio
module. Please note that the range of the radio
module is affected by local conditions. Other radio-
controlled devices such as mobile transmitters or
mobile phones may cause interference. The trans-
mitting/receiving frequency is 2.4 GHz ISM band.
8.2 Information on the motor and mechanical
components
To avoid overheating, which can lead to malfunc-
tions in extreme cases, do not use the device for
longer than 2 minutes at a time. You should then
wait at least 18 minutes before using it again. The
duty cycle data on the nameplate applies, e.g.
10% 2 min. on /18 min. off.
8.3 Mains disconnection
The motor system is not compatible with higher-level
mains disconnection devices.
a) As a preliminary, have the socket wired separa-
tely by an in-house electrician with the wiring
bypassing the household mains disconnection.
b) Installation or interposition of a switchable socket
or terminal strip.
c) Interposition of a radio-controlled switchable
socket. In this case, the higher-level mains discon-
nection must be deactivated before the system
is switched on, by activating another consumer,
e.g. bedside lamp.
That way your motor system can be completely
separated from the mains supply, thus ensuring the
functional capacity of the household mains discon-
nection.

8.4 Care instructions for motor
Before cleaning, always disconnect the mains plug.
The motor should only be cleaned with a dry or
slightly moistened cloth. Do not use solvents (gaso-
line, alcohol, etc.) and avoid penetration by liquids.
Do not use household detergents.
8.5 Care of radio handset
The handset is maintenance-free, apart from
changing used batteries. Clean the housing with
a slightly moistened cloth. Do not use abrasive
cleaners or detergents.
8.6 Care of hinges and joints
If movement noises occur, the joints and pivot points
should be treated with resin-free sewing machine oil.
Slight abrasion can be removed with a cloth soaked
in mild soap suds.
