5.3 Teach-in process

To establish communication between the handset,
control system, drives and receiver, a teach-in pro-
cess must be carried out.
Attention: The mains plug, the batteries for the
emergency lowering mechanism and the sync cable
should not be connected. The system must be com-
pletely dead (see point e).
a) Press buttons 17 and 18 simultaneously and hold
them down for approx. 5 seconds – the LED indi-
cator (1) will now begin to flash.
b) Release buttons. The indicator LED will continue
to flash automatically.
c) Now plug the mains connector into the socket
within 60 seconds.
d) When the teach-in process is successfully com-
pleted, a beep will sound and the LED indicator
will stop flashing.
e) If the teach-in process failed (indicator LED still
flashing), press any button to cancel and repeat.
The process can only be repeated when the
system is fully disconnected (unplug mains con-
nector). You should therefore wait a couple
of minutes until the green LED on the power unit
(6) is fully extinguished.
f) In the case of double beds, repeat the process
separately with each boxspring.
5.4 Individual memory positions
You can save your own preferred settings using
buttons 9–15. Saving on buttons 12–15, under
pictograms, makes recognition easier. You therefore
have a total of 7 save options available.
Adjust your bed to the desired position.
a) Press the S button (8) briefly 3 times, followed
by either 9–15.
b) The current position is then assigned to the
cor responding memory button.
c) This will overwrite any previously saved positions.
d) A beep will sound to confirm successful storage.
e) Move to saved positions by pressing buttons 9,
10 or 11. Keep button pressed until the relevant
position is reached.

5.5 Child safety lock

Activating the child safety lock
a) Press the S-button (8) for approx. 10 seconds.
b) The control system beeps to confirm that the child
safety lock is activated.
c) If one of the bed adjustment buttons (2–5, 9–10,
12—15) is pressed while the child safety lock is
active, you will simply hear a beep, indicating
that these functions are disabled.
Deactivating the child safety lock
a) Press the S-button (8) for approx. 10 seconds.
b) The control system beeps to confirm that the child
safety lock is deactivated.
c) All functions can now be accessed again.
5.6 Torch
Press button 16 for approx. 3 seconds. The torch
LED (L) lights up for approx. 20 seconds, then goes
off again automatically. To switch off the LED first,
press button 16 again briefly.
5.7 Nightlight/under-bed lighting
To use this function, you will need the appropriate
LED module. This must be connected to the drive
(see 2.5).
The nightlight function has an on/off/dimmer facility.
a) Press button 17 to switch on the LED module.
b) Press button 17 again and hold it down. The
brightness of the LED module will now be
adjusted. When the end point (brightest or least
bright setting) is reached, the dimming direction
is reversed. This process is repeated continually
until the button is released.
c) Press button 17 briefly to switch the LED module
off again.
5.8 Remote-controllable socket
This function is not active.
