5. Start-up
5.9 Synchronisation function
In order to use the synchronisation function, both
drives/control units must be connected with a sync
cable.
Attention: In order to carry out the teach-in proce-
dure described under 5.3, the two motors should
not be connected with a sync cable.
The sync cable can be fitted subsequently as neces-
sary.
Activating the synchronisation function
a) Press button 19 and hold down. The bed con-
trolled by the handset will then move to the same
position as the other bed. Once the two positions
match, the drives are switched off and a beep
sounds. The synchronisation function is now acti-
vated.
b) Both beds can now be synchronised via buttons
2–5 and 9–15.
Deactivating the synchronisation function
The synchronisation function is deactivated by
pressing button 19 again.
The synchronisation function can be activated and
deactivated using either of the two handsets, e.g.
in order to move one of the synchronised beds back
individually – provided there are two separate
mattresses/toppers, of course.

Behaviour of memory positions when the synchro­
nisation function is switched on/off:
Memory positions are generally assigned to the
system whose handset was used to programme
them, regardless of whether the synchronisation
function is on or off.
When the synchronisation function is activated,
it allows you to access the memory positions of both
systems (3 positions on handset 1 and 3 positions
on handset 2).
When the synchronisation function is deactivated,
only the 3 positions programmed for each system
can be accessed.
If you want to access a particular position on both
systems when the synchronisation function is on,
it must be activated on both systems.
Saving a new position overwrites the existing ones.

6. Assembling the mattress holders

6.1 Move the foot sections to their
uppermost position.
6.2 Fasten the mattress holders with the two
short screws (Parts 005).
