The time can be adjusted from 0 to 600 min. After the last time the brew
lever is activated, the machine starts the countdown of the set time and then
switches off automatically.
For example, you have programmed 120 min, then the machine switches off two
hours after the last brew.

Turn off PID display feature

There is the option to turn the PID display off: Press the
display, which indicates that the machine is still turned on. The display will be turned on again by pressing the
button once more.

6.4 Preparing coffee

Use the portafilter with 1 spout and the corresponding filter (1 cup) for the preparation of 1 cup. Use the portafilter
with 2 spouts and the big filter (2 cups) for the preparation of 2 cups. Make sure that the filter is firmly placed in the
portafilter. Fill the finely ground coffee into the filter.
Use 1 level measuring-spoon of coffee for each cup (approx. 7 – 9 g). Do not overfill the measuring-spoon.
Compress the ground coffee with the tamper. Clamp the portafilter firmly into the brew group.
Place the cup under the spout of the portafilter (for the preparation of 2 cups, put 1 cup under each spout).
Now activate the brew lever to start the brewing process. In general, the brewing time should be around 23 to 25
seconds. The volume for a single espresso is approx. 25 to 30 ml. Place the brew lever back into the original position
once the desired volume is reached.
The remaining pressure/water will be discharged into the drip tray through the lower part of the infusion cylinder.
The pump pressure can be read on the pump pressure gauge. After the brewing process, the gauge may still indicate
pressure. Only when preparing another cup of coffee will the build-up of pressure be visible again.
Caution!
If the group lever is not moved into the lower position properly, hot water and grounds will squirt out of
the brew group when taking out the portafilter. This may cause injury.
For best results, freshly ground coffee should be used. Therefore, use a professional coffee grinder.

6.5 Dispensing of hot water

1 Place an adequate water container (with a heat-insulated handle) under the hot water dispenser. It is
recommended to switch off the machine (position 0) to stop cold water from being pumped into the boiler while
dispensing. To dispense hot water (e. g. for tea) activate the hot water lever.
2 After dispensing water, switch the machine on (position 1) again. The boiler will be filled with fresh water
automatically.
