As shipped or after resetting the sensor to factory defaults
Pin 2 and Pin 4 are configured as a PNP switching output
(Q1/Q2). The switching logic for Q1 is normally open, Q2 is
normally closed. The sensor uses the diffuse energetic
sensor principle (see section Factory setting on page 5).

Setter (digital potentiometer)
Used for setting the switchpoint and displaying the sensor
principle as well as various other functions.
The settings can also be made using IO-Link
(see section Sensor function principle and Teach-In
procedure on page 6).
The sensitivity of the setter depends on the
turning speed.
Fast turning results in a larger increment size of
the switchpoint.

Note correct approach direction in this mode!
Standard setting
1. Position the sensor to the desired distance from the
object.
2. Set the setter to the minimum switching distance.
3. Slowly turn the setter clockwise until the yellow LED is
on constantly. The object has been detected.
4. Remove object: the yellow LED goes out.
Fine adjustment
1. Continue turning setter clockwise until the yellow LED
comes on: the background is detected.
2. Set the setter in the middle between both detected
switchpoints.
