Registering and deregistering handsets

Further information on the use of several handsets is provided in Chapter 15. The
default setting of the PIN code is 0000".
14.1.1 Registering DECT 6800 handsets

Note: The handset is then automatically assigned an internal call number. The
handset already registered has the internal call number 1. The second
handset registered is assigned the internal call number 2. This internal call
number appears in the display to the right of the name of the handset.
14.1.2 Registering other DECT−GAP telephones on the base station
In order to register a DECT−GAP handset from another manufacturer, follow the
instructions in the operating manual provided by the original manufacturer and then
press the Paging button D on the base station for 3 seconds. The default setting of
the PIN code is 0000".
14.1.3 Registering a handset on a DECT/GAP base station from another
manufacturer
Follow the instructions in the operating manual from the original manufacturer to set
the base station from the external manufacturer to Registration mode.

14.1.4 Deregistering handsets
It is not possible to complete the deregistration using the handset which is to be
deregistered.
