Note on the phone book

Always enter the area access code with the phone numbers so that the
telephone can also assign incoming local calls to a phone book entry.
S
If the name entered is already stored in the phone book, the message
DUPLICATE NAME REPLACE? appears. Press the OK Display button to
overwrite the phone book entry or CANCEL
S
When the memory capacity of the phone book is used up, the message
FULL appears in the display on attempting to save a new entry. An entry in
the phone book must be deleted in order to create space.

After opening the phone book, entries can be accessed directly,
alphabetically. To do this, press the button with the corresponding first letter
of the phone book entry.
S
The phone book is also available for use while a call is in progress. Use the
Display button OPTIONS
transfer phone numbers from the phone book to the caller.

Entering a name

The digit keys are also labelled with letters for the entry of the respective letters.
Letters, digits and special characters are entered by pressing the relevant key the
respective number of times.
Example: To enter the name Peter". Press: 1 x button 7,
2 x button 3, 1 x button 8, 2 x button 3, 3 x button 7
To enter a space, press 1 once.

To enter special characters, press 0 or * as often as necessary.

To switch between input of upper and lower case letters, press the #
S
button.
S
To enter the same letter twice, press the relevant button until the letter
appears then wait till the cursor automatically skips one position forward.
In the case of an incorrect entry, use the Navigation button X to move the
S
cursor and delete the individual characters by pressing the CLEAR
Display button.
