10. Transporting the machine

* The shredding chamber must be empty before the machine can be moved. The input
opening should not contain any branches.
* If the machine is moved (more than 5 m), the engine should always be switched OFF.
* Only adults may move or transport the machine.
* During transport do not allow children, unauthorised persons or animals within a
radius of 3 m around the machine.
* Select the transport route so that there are not too many obstacles in the way. The
transport route should preferably be flat with an even surface.
* If the machine is tipped over for whatever reason, turn it upright it as soon as possible.
This prevents the oil in the crankcase from getting onto the air filter. As these filters are
expensive, it is best to prevent this.
* Use anti-slip ramps when loading the machine in a van or on a trailer Ensure that these
are well secured to the vehicle or trailer. Under no circumstances should the ramp
slope exceed 25°.
* One must be careful and composed when loading and unloading the shredder so that
the machine does not tip over and causes an accident.
* The drive shaft for the blades should be positioned
in front when ascending a slope.
* The drive shaft for the blades should be positioned
last when descending a slope.
* During transport, the machine should be firmly secured in the vehicle. Use fixed
chassis parts to secure the ropes to.
* Ensure the transport vehicle is not overloaded. See
